Whats different/better about the new brushes ?
I got a chance to use these in New Orleans with Annie and then again in San Francisco and now I have one in the studio until they all get here for customers. They are unique in that the ferule is much wider, with an oval base, rather than a skinny base like American brushes. The bristles are also rounded on the edges. This allows you to not leave so many brush stroke lines but does allow the texture to come through beautifullly, and they hold a lot of paint! Annie specifically designed these to be used with her Chalk Paint (tm) which is not applied like other paint but in a more relaxed way of painting.
